Our Purpose
At Little Nest Baby Bank, our mission is simple — to make sure no baby in Dumfries and Galloway goes without the essentials. We’re lucky to have the amazing Scottish Baby Box scheme giving every new parent a helping hand, but our service provides an additional level of support for those struggling the most. We believe that every child deserves a safe, comfortable start in life, and every parent deserves to feel supported, not judged, when times are tough.
How it works...
We collect and redistribute donated baby clothes, equipment, and supplies to families experiencing hardship, working closely with health visitors, social workers, and local organisations. Through kindness, community, and recycling, we’re reducing waste while helping families meet their children’s most basic needs.
Why it matters...
More than just a baby bank, Little Nest is about connection — neighbours helping neighbours, volunteers finding purpose, and small acts of generosity building lasting change. Together, we’re creating a community where families feel seen, supported, and surrounded by care from the very beginning.
